Creating a promotion kit to hand out at trade shows for the Angie Mason Art brand was the key function of this project. I wanted a simple bold folder handout that would be fun yet focused on the actual content of the art rather than get caught up concerned with smoke and mirrors. A simple bold colored folder adorned with the Angie Mason Creation brand logo makes up the front piece then you open it up to find the content: postcards, press pages, promotion sheets with artworks, business cards and the cherry on top a one inch button keep sake. The main function of this piece was geared toward showcasing art work to potential clients in the licensing industry. It is also an introduction kit to be sent to new possible galleries or boutiques who may not be familiar with the work of Angie Mason Art.

Client: Neocutis worked under Laura Rutter Design Firm I was fortunate to take part in doing some work for the Pharma industry under the realm of dermaceutical products. Some of the things I was designing were sell sheets, email blasts, post cards, post procedure care cards for use in doctor offices. Here is a sampling of the style this particular brand had a clean bright poppy fresh design with pretty vector graphic illustrations to accent the product.

This image of the Healing Tree was created for a benefit exhibition at Sacred Gallery in N.Y.C. where 100% of all proceeds sold are donated to the Red Cross to help the Japan Relief Effort. I created this promotion poster art to post online to promote the special Japan Benefit Show. The artwork of the Healing Tree was created specifically for this tragedy. There has been a large movement online of artists creating art rooted in love and light to lift the people of Japan's spirits during these trying times. This is what I had in my mind when creating this piece. New blossoms bloom love and show growth and a new start as the roots of the tree trunk lift up the bruised tired heart into a safe place where it can regenerate and heal.

From sketch to finish I created these websites with help from my partner on the deep coding yet I do all the maintenance in GoLive and other needed programs within the Creative Suite. In the first example of www.angiemason.com I have created this site from scratch with some help in the deep coding but over all this was a individual effort and build. Through the main website it branches out into social media such as facebook, twitter and youtube.

In the second example you will see a design portfolio site I had created utilizing flash animations through out making it a fun user experience as well as keeping it simple and html based to view the portfolio sections. All aspects from visual elements to the final web presence was done by myself.

The Sweet Defeat Collection™ is a line of products I have created based off the original painting I have done which is seen in the center of this image below. From the painting I took the central character image and created a graphic black and white image which I transferred to a silk screen then hand screened various style tee shirts which were all one a kind Angie Mason art shirts under the Angie Mason™ Brand for the Sweet Defeat Collection™. The Shirts all have a hand silk screened Angie Mason™ Logo sewn into the shirts as well as being adorned with a Sweet Defeat™ hang tag which I also designed and hand cut. Next in the collection were customized one of a kind hand painted totes which have the image embedded in glitter with a triple thick glaze coating making it eye catching and magical. The line continues to grow as mini canvases are being made into one of kind mono prints that have hand painted back grounds and mini stretcher bars creating attractive affordable adorable art.

Complete with hang tag, a hand screened graphic tee as well as a hand screened,cut and sewn label were all poly bagged and sealed a with a 'Dealt Hand' sticker. This limited artists edition consists of only 23 varied styled shirts with this graphic image printed on them.

Here are some nostalgic image bits of summer days passed as seen through my camera lens. What better way to warm up in the middle of winter than with feelings of humid summer nights spent at the fair with the scent of cotton candy hanging thick in the air as fire flies dance on and off in the magic of the night. All the images here I shot in New Jersey which seems to have a great deal of carnival rides going on. :) These particular images were shot manually using a Canon G9 outdoors.

While working at Space.com I was the lead designer on the sister website spacekids.com I was responsible for all aspects of building the spacekids.com brand look by designing such things as: character design, layout design, logo design, icon design just to name some key roles I took on. It was a super fun creative position that allowed me to explore and try things while working under an amazing Creative Director Diane Becker who put together one of the best teams I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Version 2.0 spacekids.com created a more techy sophisticated sleek look. After doing focus group studies with the first version we realized spacekids users are sharp,sophisticated and needed a u.i. that reflected them more with a sleeker tighter design chucking out the younger looking chunky graphics which would be more suited for a very young target audience. After doing more focus group studies we found the experience for the user to be way more enjoyable and reflected the personalty and age target more suitably.

The Choice of font used on the ad and invite was carried through as well as on the store front display for greater consistency with the branding of the show. The Character design I drew up was also utilized in packaged merch for one inch button packs. For any illustration project that I would be assigned,I would work with both the Design Director and Editors to get concept direction then sketch up concept roughs for approval then take the sketches to final for use in the magazine such as with features or covers etc.
